The Recreation Ground Management Committee (RGMC) in Cowling was established with the goal of enhancing and preserving this valuable public space for the benefit of all residents living in and around the village. Recognizing the importance of the recreation ground as a hub for community activities, relaxation, and outdoor enjoyment, the committee works diligently to ensure that the space is well-maintained, accessible, and enriched with facilities that cater to a wide range of interests and age groups.

Their goals include the provision if amenities for all ages and interests such as play equipment, outdoor gym equipment and picnic areas, and fund raising activities are underway to achieve this. 

Hosting village events with the aim of encouraging community engagement and participation are seen as important by the RGMC. 

By focusing on the needs and desires of local residents, the RGMC strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where families, children, and individuals of all ages can come together to enjoy recreational activities, sports, and social gatherings.

In this way, the committee not only preserves the physical space but also strengthens the community spirit, making the recreation ground a cherished asset for generations to come.

The RGMC is a registered charity in the name of the Cowling Recreation Ground and War Memorial Charity, registration number 1205753
